Brooklyn Artists Gym is an artist studio and gallery facility in the Park Slope/Gowanus area of Brooklyn New York. BAG provides visual artists, painters, illustrators, collage artists, and writers with artist studio space, 24/7 access, basic equipment, art storage facilities, critiques, gallery opportunities and a vibrant artistic community.

Gym’s Winter Salon show “Home” is January 29th 2010. BAG artists and
Room 58 Writers answer the question “Where and what is home to you?” “Home”
includes readings and artwork that reflect home as a place or time (specific or
shifting), as a reflection of identity, as isolating, affirming, familiar, or
forgotten. Our Salons thrive on audience participation so join us for a hot
toddy, to warm you up and get you talking.

On February 13, 6-8 pm, celebrate Valentine’s Day a day early with the Brooklyn Artists Gym. The first installment of our swap meet series, “BAGGAGE CLAIM” will focus on theme of romantic commerce.

Coinciding with the swap meet will be the opening of “Me and You and You and Me” a group show featuring the work of Rylee Eterginoso and the collaborative efforts of feistberger. Additionally, BAGgage Claim will feature the culinary handiwork of Goodie BAG Baking. Delicious treats will be on sale to satiate your discerning palette. Love comes at a premium. This event is $3 at the door, and donations are also welcome!

BAG introduces two new kinds of membership: the Weekender, and the Two-Day-Week. Now if you want to use the studio just two days a week or just on the weekends, you can. Details can be found on the member page.
